Maree enjoyed being outdoors, camping, cooking on a camp oven often drawing while sitting in the car, pastels & pad on her knee. Visits to the Little Desert, close to her home town of Dimboola were a favourite. The Gippsland hills, Tasmania and Wilsons Promontory appear in her catalogue of work in pastels, watercolour and charcoal. She captured the changing skyline of Port Melbourne as developers began rebuilding Sandridge. ‘upgrading’ Port Melbourne pier and demolishing the nearby overpass. Her colourful pastels of the Botanic Gardens are striking.
